WHO I AM

Being born into a military family meant that discipline was heavily emphasized from an early age. I've lived in a dozen places, so I've carefully honed my adaptive capabilities. In high school I excelled in sales and performance based jobs. I welcome competition. Those traits carried over into the college setting, either on the ice with the hockey team, or off with various campus organizations. In the summer of 2012, I accepted an internship from the public strategy firm Mercury/Clark & Weinstock. I'm grateful to them for letting me into their team of highly skilled and productive professionals so that I could have my first taste of real world application.

My years of study and real-world application have allowed me to hone a repertoire of communication and personal connection skills. I consider opportunities that require good networking, speaking, and writing to be the most rewarding.

Currently, I'm interning with the Career Services Center, at Salisbury University. Initially tasked with social media management, I have grown with the office to cover a variety of objectives set by the program director. From resume building to LinkedIn seminars, my flexibility in a professional setting flourished.

I also manage a blog about social media's impact on the world, especially the world of journalism. Find it here.
